Maré BEACHES

Shini Beach

The beautiful beach of Shini is a white sand beach with a very rich seabed ideal for snorkelling and is accessible from Nengone Village hotel.

Starting from Kawé beach in front of Nengone Village Hotel, this beautiful walk of an hour and a half runs along coves of white sand, alternating with the coral promontories covered with beautiful vegetation. The sinuous path winds between the huge New Caledonian columnar pines and leads through Cape Wabao Forest and onto Pede bay and its magnificent seabed.

Welcome supplement

  • Highlights: The small enclosed lagoon lapping the beach and the beautiful forests through which the path winds. Trail markers: From the Nengone Village hotel, a signpost at the western end of the beach marks the start of the path. Then there are a few signposts and paint marks in the forest section, until Pede Beach, 5 to 6 km south of Tadine.
