Vanilla Festival
Every year, the famous vanilla festival takes place at the Mou tribe in Lifou. An opportunity to discover the island's flagship product and its history from past to present.
In October, the Vani Ne Mou association organizes the not-to-be-missed vanilla festival. Visitors are invited to the Mou tribe to taste the islands' black gold and discover the thousand and one facets of the prestigious bean that is the pride of its small-scale producers. The invitation is extended in an atmosphere reminiscent of the Loyalty Islands, and in particular of the Drehu country (Lifou). A wide range of discovery activities are on offer, including visits to vanilla plantations, tours of the island and hikes to enjoy the festival. On site, there are numerous stalls offering food and drink, handicrafts, vanilla producers and a variety of other activities. And don't forget to visit the Maison de la Vanille stand, where a wide range of products will be on offer.
