Mouli Beach

With its postcard colours, this is one of the most beautiful beaches in New Caledonia.

Mouli Beach stretches for more than 6 kilometres on the leeward coast of Mouli Island, which is connected to the main island by Mouli Bridge. With its turquoise blue water and its unique brightness and pristine fine sand, it is one of the places not to be missed when you arrive on this island considered by some as being “the closest to Paradise”, it encourages idleness and water-based activities.

After school, the children of the tribal village make it their playground, while in the early morning, it is the fishermen who return from fishing offshore or who throw out their nets from the shore. A few metres offshore, it is not uncommon to see manta rays or turtles crossing the bay peacefully. Further out it is the dolphins that accompany any boats that should pass that way.

A full moon on the beach makes the lagoon appear as if it is illuminated from within and the shadow play of the clouds on the white sand is a moment that has to be experienced...
