Kiki Beach
A little gem protected by the surrounding cliffs; Kiki beach is one of Lifou's best-kept secrets.Rarely referenced in tourist guides and maps, the secret Kiki beach is hidden at the end of a path through a forest from the football field of Chépénéhé. At the start of the trail at the landowner's house, a small box invites you to pay a contribution of 500 F for the maintenance of the trail. With 30 to 40 minutes of walking, the trail is relatively flat and passable but still remember to bring closed shoes.
Hidden at the foot of the cliffs, the beach is a haven of peace, some hundred metres long, and bordered by turquoise water. If you arrive at low tide, you will enjoy its beautiful little bay. To descend, we take a small rickety wooden ladder. However, at high tide, the sea covers the sand almost entirely, so be careful not to be taken by surprise!
