The turtle hole :

Hidden under the cover of trees near the Takedji tribal village this water hole serves as a refuge for a large number of turtles.

Head to the north of the island, to Takedji, between Heo and Gossanah. At the entrance of Heo, take the road on your right and go straight. You will cross the coconut grove and quarries, leave them behind you and continue until you cross a dense forest, from this moment on, drive slowly and watch out on your right side as only a metal pole signals the entrance of the dirt road that goes down to a place where you can park your vehicle.

A hundred metres from the road and after a short walk through the vegetation, you will come across a beautiful water hole supplied with seawater through cracks in the rock, some of which are wide enough to let turtles through. Away from the lagoon, they seem to have come here to take a cool break in the silence of the place. You can tour the whole site and even take a dip if you wish!
