The subsoil of Lifou is pierced by many networks of limestone caves and remains of the ancient coral reefs. From Luengôni, you can access a drowned gallery that can be visited by swimming or even scuba diving for the more experienced. The entrance is quite acrobatic, and it is better not to be claustrophobic, but then you enter a natural pool in the middle of stalagmites and stalactites that reveal themselves under the beam of a torch.
